Catering Assistant/Kitchen/Bar Staff

Location: Scotland, RAF Lossiemouth

Contract: Until 31 July 2023

Pay rate: £9.50 p/h rising to £10.42 p/h April 2023

Key Responsibilities:

• Working a variety of shifts covering Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and Late Suppers.
• Follow recipes and prepare food for service.
• Maintain food hygiene, service, and presentation to a high standard.
• Bar Duties, stock rotation, preparing and serving drinks to customers and assisting in stock checks.
• Cash handling, cashing up of tills required for both Food and Bar services.
• General cleaning duties included but not limited to cleaning of crockery, cutlery, tables , preparation areas, public rooms.
• Vacuum cleaning, polishing, and dusting. Following a cleaning schedule.

Desirable Skills:

• Minimum of Level 2 Food Safety including Allergen training or equivalent.
• Good time keeping, reliability, self-motivation and happy to work as part of a team or an individual.
• Own transport to get to site, however there are bus links from outside the camp into Elgin Bus station.
• 1 years’ experience working in Catering/Hospitality industry.

Examples of the shift patterns:

• Early Shift-  05:30 – 13:00 or 06:00 – 13:30 
• Late Shift-  11:00 – 18:30 or 13:00 – 20:30
• Bar Shifts-  16:00 – 23:30 or 16:30 – 00:00

If successful will have to do a DBS.

Standard hours of work are 37 hours a week.
