Software Developer - C++ in Leicestershire

Our client is a global leader in the development of scientific measurement instrumentation for use in environmental, climate and present weather monitoring. Due to continued global growth and demand for their products they are seeking to recruit an experienced Software Developer who is proficient in C++ for both Windows and Linux environments.

Duties

Working as part of a collaborative team using SCRUM software development methodology you will:

Design and implement software components that fit into the company’s software suite.

Implement internal test code to ensure that the software is reliable and stable.

Document and present designs and deliverables to stakeholders and peers.

Evaluate customer feedback and research options.

Candidate

Degree in Computer Science or related technical / IT subject.

3 years of experience in software development.

Proficient in C++ essential.

Experience with both Windows and Linux development tools.

Experience with client server architecture.

Knowledge or previous use of Git, Jira, JavaScript, Node.js, Vue.js, TypeScript, NPM for example would be desirable.

Experience working with instrumentation, communication and network protocols would be an advantage but is not essential.

Must have excellent communication skills and be customer focused at all times.

Used to working as part of team, familiar with SCRUM and AGILE ways of working.
